Mipa Shin is a ceramist and plant artist based in Los Angeles. Her focus is on creating pots for plants that explore and highlight their unique personalities.

Originally from Daegu, South Korea, she moved to New York to pursue her MFA in Dance from NYU Tisch School of the Arts. After graduating, Mipa relocated from New York to Los Angeles in 2017, and switched her creative focus from dance to ceramics and plants. She started to practice ceramics as a hobby, but it has now become her main creative pursuit. She throws, fires, and mixes glazes in the single-car-garage-turned-ceramics-studio behind her house. She founded Mipa's Pots and Plants in 2019.
