< Crassula Tetragona Care >
The Crassula tetragona, commonly called the “Miniature Pine Tree,” is a hardy succulent with a unique appearance.
•Light - Prefers full sun to partial sunlight. Indoors, a bright south- or west-facing window works well. Outdoors, provide some shade during the hottest parts of the day to prevent sunburn.
•Watering - Use the soak-and-dry method: water thoroughly and allow the soil to dry out completely before watering again. Adjust frequency based on climate; less watering is required in cool or humid weather.
•Temperature - Not frost-tolerant; thrives in temperatures above 30°F (-1.1°C) and is best suited for USDA zones 10a–11b. Protect from freezing temperatures by moving it indoors during colder months.
•Soil - Requires well-draining soil. A mix of succulent or cactus soil with added sand, perlite, or pumice works best. Avoid water-retentive ingredients like clay.
• Overwatering can lead to root rot and mushy leaves. Conversely, underwatering causes shriveled, deflated leaves. Adjust watering based on the plant’s appearance and environment.
